El Centro de la Niña Trabajadora
What is CENIT?
CENIT, El Centro de la Niña Trabajadora, or the Center for the Working Girl as it is known in English, is a non-governmental, non-profit organization devoted to helping working children (especially working girls) and their families overcome grinding poverty and improve their quality of lives through education and job training, nutrition programs, health and social services, psychological help and recreation.
On Thursday, May 30th, InterNations Quito Charity Group invites you to visit the ethno-historical Museum Mindalae to help CENIT!
Come and visit the amazing Mindalae museum which has wonderful artisan exhibits of the traditions and costumes of old Ecuador. This beautiful museum is run by the same people who have Café Cultural Tianguez underneath the San Francisco Plaza in Centro Historico. The cost of entry is $10 plus a suggested donation to CENIT of $5. This charitable event will help CENIT: El Centro de la Niña Trabajadora. CENIT does a wonderful job helping the families in the South of Quito with special emphasis on the girls who are more vunerable. Please support this worthy cause.
