Medical Services Coordinator

Job Description
This is an administrative level position at Cenit, which includes oversight of all health-related programs at Cenit. It is an exciting position for someone with a good level of Spanish and a background or interest in health care. A long-term commitment is required.
Responsibilities include:
- Advocating for the health of children and families in the south of Quito
- Organizing the clinic sessions (doctors & volunteers)
- Follow up of more complex cases (referrals and support for further treatment)
- Offer family planning services
- Keeping accurate and confidential records
- Training clinic volunteers
- Designing and implementing health campaigns
- Working closely with the Dentist Project
- Managing the project budget
- Fundraising for the clinic
- Networking with local and foreign organizations to gain support for the clinic
- Providing medications to Patients and keeping the Cenit ’Pharmacy’ stocked
- Coordinating with CENIT psychologists & social workers to develop comprehensive patient care plans
Qualifications
- Belief in the organization's mission and understanding of the challenges and rewards of working in a non-profit, community-based organization.
- Bachelor's degree or ability equal to that usually derived from an accredited college or university.
- Previous experience in the health care sector an advantage
- Written and verbal proficiency in both Spanish and English.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Sufficient dedication to commit long-term to a rewarding yet non-paid position, and the means to finance such a stay.
- Computer literacy and good organizational and administrative skills
- Desire to improve the lives of working street children and their families.
Salary
This is a volunteer position without financial compensation.
